Building Department

The building department provides effective and efficient administration of laws relating to planning, zoning, fire safety and prevention, building construction, the environment, master planning and other such areas the village board may deem appropriate.

The building department should be contacted prior to starting any project. Generally, a permit is required for any structural, electrical, plumbing, energy, swimming pool, decks, and porches, or out-building construction work performed.
